- 7 Years of Supervisory and Administrative Experience
- Graduate of Minnesota BCA's Supervision and Management Series
- Graduate of Minnesota BCA's Senior Management Series
- Graduate of Institute for Credible Leadership Development
- Graduate of National Institute of Corrections Jail Administrator School
- SWAT Commander School
- High-Risk Warrant Entry Training
- Use Of Force Instructor
- Defensive Tactics Instructor
- Active Shooter Instructor
- Firearms Instructor
- AAS in Law Enforcement from Hibbing Community College
- POST Licensed
- Former Volunteer EMT with Walker Ambulance
- Former President of Walker Ambulance Board
- Former Board Member of the Family Safety Network
- Former Chair of the District 2 Jail Administrator's Association
- Former Youth Coach in Football, Hockey, Baseball and Softball

Goals:
- First and foremost, I will start with my "end goal". Ultimately, I would like to retire as your Sheriff and have staff say that I left the Sheriff's Office better than I found it,
- Continue with our excellence in serving the residents and visitors of Cass County. Maintaining and expanding public trust with all of our communities and their leaders.
- Establish and maintain an "Officer Wellness" program within the Sheriff's Office, aimed at improving employees' physical, spiritual and mental health and raising morale,
- Recruit and retain the highest quality employees possible,
- Continue as a Servant Leader,
- Create a work environment where current employees would be proud to ask their friends to come work,
- Build upon current efforts at community outreach and public interaction,
- Be an active Sheriff in our community, organizations, Minnesota Sheriff's Association and with the State legislature.
